French Wedding in DeauvilleClémence and Victor
I love my “destination weddings”! This summer, the destination was France and more precisely Normandie and the beautiful Deauville where Clémence and Victor decided to tie the knot. I always feel extremely honoured to be chosen as a wedding photographer and be part of people's special day and this was no exception. I arrived late on the Friday and before I got to settle into my hotel room, it was time to go out to meet up with Clémence and Victor's friends and family in Trouville for a pre-wedding gathering. Straight away I felt their day would be very special as there was so much laughter, happiness and emotions in the air as well as Champagne and Cider of course!
I started early on the Saturday morning to make sure I had all my equipment, memory cards and spare batteries in my bag and then set off to the hairdresser to meet up with the bride and her bridesmaids, which was a buzz of excitement before heading to the Golf Barriere Club House for a spot of lunch. The Golf Club Barriere Hotel was absolutely stunning, a pure delight for a wedding photographer! I then headed off to the Mairie, where I met up with nervous Victor and the friends and family. The sun was shining, Fleur the flower girl was excited at the idea of assisting the bride. What a ceremony! It was so perfect! We had all the elements for a perfect and happy wedding.
After a few photos in front of the Mairie, we all headed back to the Golf Barrière Club House for drinks, canapés, more photos, more drinks and more food and more laughter. It really was a beautiful place to have the wedding reception. The friends and family clearly had a superb day all trying to communicate both in English and French. It was the early hours before I left them to it and headed back to my room. Tous mes voeux de bonheur! Wishing you many happy years together Clémence and Victor!
