My first blog ever!Welcome to Albane Photography First Blog! After many years of talking about doing a blog, here we go! I'm finally ready! Well ready...ish! I think I'm a better photographer than I am a writer so I thought I'd start with using a quote by 19th Century photojournalist Alfred Eisenstaedt which I can relate to: "When I have a camera in my hand I know no fear." Before a wedding, I always get butterflies in my stomach, I get very nervous... I want to do my best for the bride and groom who chose me as their wedding photographer to tell the story of their day. I can only have one shot at it. No mistakes allowed. But as soon as I get my Nikon camera out of the bag, it seems that all the fears and worries go and I feel like a different person. Someone more confident, slightly bossy who won't hesitate to shout to gather everyone for the big group photo as quickly as possible or climb up on anything to get my shots. And as soon as the camera goes back in the bag, I'm back to being Albane, the more reserved person. How bizarre! But one thing remains both when I'm photographing and when the camera is down... I always follow my emotions, try to put people at ease and always give my all! No half measures! I'm not sure if the emotional side is because of my continental blood but I believe this has helped me over the years to develop my style as a photographer... So now you know the real Albane!
